① Make sure the microphone permission is allowed (Settings → Guitar Highway → Microphone). ② Noisy rooms hurt detection — check that the in-app environment banner says "Quiet". ③ Keep the guitar within 30–50 cm of the phone and play one clear note at a time.
Go to iOS Settings → Guitar Highway → turn Microphone on, then reopen the app. The mic is used only for judging and tuning — audio never leaves your device.
Not required, but recommended. Speaker playback leaks into the mic and can disturb judging. With earphones (or an audio interface), the mic hears only your guitar.
Shoot straight-on, without shadows, with the page filling the frame. After recognition you can freely fix barlines and notes in the editor, or build a score manually. PDF and MusicXML import are also supported.
All recordings and videos stay on your device only. Nothing is uploaded. Listen and delete under "More → My recordings". Deleting the app deletes them too.
If the side silent switch is on, demos and backing tracks may be muted. Unmute and check the volume. Bluetooth earphones take 1–2 seconds after connecting.
